• Connect with people you’ve worked with and know! Connecting is the best way to optimize your LinkedIn profile.
• When you connect with people you’ve worked with (either for a job or volunteering) ask them to “recommend you.” This is even more beneficial than “endorsements.” 
• Recommend and Endorse your connections. If you help others, they are more likely to help you. 
• Follow “Influencers”, Companies, and join related “groups” on LinkedIn to gain a larger network and gain up-to-date industry news.
• As you gain experience, add it to both your resume and LinkedIn. Keep your profile current.
